Hi y’all! I’m Jamie and I blog over at Love Bakes Good Cakes. Don’t let the name fool ya – it’s more than just cakes and sweets. I share family-friendly meals, desserts and an occasional free printable. 

I’m excited to be over at Jaime’s place again! Today, I have a Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Bars recipe for you. It’s easy and satisfies two cravings at once!

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Bars
Printable recipe
Yield: 16 servings

1 tube (18 oz.) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough (or 2 cups of homemade cookie dough)
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
½ cup sugar
1 egg

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut the cookie dough in half. To make the crust, press half of the dough into the bottom of a greased 8-inch square baking pan. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and egg until the mixture is smooth. Spread over the crust. Crumble the remaining cookie dough over the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center tests clean. Cool completely on a wire rack. Refrigerate any leftovers.

    I grew up eating these (although I haven’t had them in years!) but our recipe include a little bit of almond extract in the filling. I’ve also seen it with vanilla. Yummy!
