In reply to Jaime @ Mom's Test Kitchen. Thank you for your reply Jaime, I'm the cook for a working farm and the hands are as bad as feeding a bunch of kids. I'm going to try this next week and let you know how it goes. There are two ingredients you can never go wrong with, butter and bacon. ;}

I’ve made this recipe for years but I always put the corn bread mix on top and baked it. I kind of like the idea of crumbling up corn bread, mixing it with butter and putting it on top then baking it. I think I’ll try it your way next time.
